We know that coronavirus has impacted many families and children. We also know that those vulnerable families, children and young people that we help across the North East have been impacted more than most. We are committed to continuing to support those that are most vulnerable using our Barefoot Professional model, and we are adapting our approach to make sure that those who need us most are fully supported, whatever their needs.
Family Entrepreneur Support
Our Family Entrepreneurs are maintaining essential communication using phone, online and other virtual methods to offer credible, practical support to families that are struggling with a range of very complex issues. They are calling families daily and offering the whole family advice, strategies, a listening ear, learning activities for children and many other resources to help them cope and to prevent them falling further into crisis. They are also carrying out essential welfare and safeguarding checks to keep everyone safe during what can be a very tense and anxious time for many.
Free Family Meals
Our Howdelicious Café is offering a Free Family Meals service to families who are severely disadvantaged and impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. They are preparing, packaging and delivering tasty home cooked, nutritious meals to families whose children would be missing their usual cooked school dinner and carrying out a welfare check on delivery. They are also offering a delivery service to local people who may be isolated or unable to cook for themselves, all profits help fund the Free Family Meals. To order, contact us at email@example.com or call 07572 649 829.
We are raising funds for the charity to continue its work during and beyond the crisis. The funds raised will be used for emergency work to provide more Free Family Meals and then for the recovery stage when we know that our Family Entrepreneur support will be needed more than ever to help vulnerable families, children and young people cope with the changed world and recover from the severe impact it is having on them.
